I'm sure it must be pretty...disturbing for her to imagine all kinds of dudes from all over the planet fapping to her private videos. I actually watched them again today and with the longer of the two most recently leaked I couldn't help but shake my head and chuckle at how wrong all of this is. All the dirty talking makes it all that much sexier and she did nothing wrong...but damn...when viewed by complete strangers no matter how you look at it, it makes her come across as a filthy cock hungry whore. It's just one of those things that well and truly you pray never leaks out for the world to see. Dunno, but with her videos, it must surely be some of the most embarrassing and severe humiliations you could suffer.

 

Like we have seen with a big piece of Jennifer Lawrence being destroyed. I'm sure that a big piece of what once made Abigail Spencer be Abigail Spencer is gone and destroyed now too. Browser, hoseph316, I think that yes, this is embarrassing for Abigail, Jennifer and the rest, but these leaks shows just how much these actresses are like regular people without the publicity machine. Abigails pics and vids were obviously made when she was alone and horny and being away from her loved one. I know my gf and I have done stuff like that in the past when I was out of the country. Normal people do this kind of stuff. I can only hope these leaks boosts their careers, especially Abigail, Findley and Aubrey. They should own it, laugh about it and move forward. Very few of them are. Many have more money than you or I, but most of these women barely qualify for to be called "celebrities" and I'd bet a lot of them have no more money than anybody with a full-time job in some sort middle-level management position.

 

Very true. It's always surprising to learn of 'celebrities' ending up bankrupt - but it does happen! Obviously, high-end actors are in a different sphere..the 'top' Big Bang Theory lot are earning a million dollars per episode.
As for the impact on the fapping 'victims' lives - a few blurry shots of certain girls shouldn't be too problematic - they can even be denied or made light of, but I genuinely think Abigail Spencer's are different. HQ and intimate and explicit. She'll likely have been advised by appropriately skilled counselling teams on how to re-group her life face the public.
Imagine a video with sound of you (me) wanking and it was passed around at school or your workplace. This is SO much worse for this woman. But, morality aside, that's what makes this better than regular staged porn which can be a bit boring. For a mid-level actor/actress it isn't as lucrative as one might think. Agents, publicists, down time between jobs, etc. And unlike the big stars, a lot of these people have short careers, particularly women after their mid-30s. Once someone like Abigail starts getting a few wrinkles the jobs become few and far between, which is why they're more willing to do the nude roles that they refused when they were young and bankable - Helen Hunt and Meg Ryan are good examples. Neither has aged gracefully. But Helen still has a great body, so she takes roles like "The Sessions" rather than not working at all. In ten years Abigail Spencer's videos will be forgotten, she'll be in her forties, and will be only getting roles in HBO and Showtime series that will require her to be naked. Enjoy her now, while she's still hot.

 

Not everyone in TV or in some movies is necessarily a millionaire. I doubt Abigail Spencer is big enough to be that well paid yet. And full-on masturbation vids are whole level of intimacy beyond mere nude pics like JLaw had.

JLaw understandably feels upset, but while nude pics will never be erased, eventually the whole thing will blow over and be mostly forgotten. Scarlett's leak was mostly forgotten, and the few new pics that surfaced recently didn't make much of a splash in the media. Remember when Gwyenth Paltrow and Brad Pitt were caught nude by papparzzi? Bet you didn't until just now. Sure, the pics are still out there, but they have no bearing on their lives and careers.

But if Paltrow was more of a minor celeb, who became better known because of a sex tape, that sort of thing could stick with you for a long time.

For a more extreme example, imagine if Kim Kardashian or Paris Hilton somehow actually became talented actresses or singers...it wouldn't matter, they'll always be known first and foremost for fucking on camera.

 

One almost has to wonder if this isn't a boost for her career. People who never heard of her before (see some of the comments here) will now tune in to her show to see her, which will boost the ratings for the show and possibly get it renewed for a couple of more years (ratings are everything). There's a saying in Hollywood - "There's no such thing as bad publicity".
A two or three year renewal translates to two or three more years of income for her, whatever the reason.

 

There almost certainly are more casting directors and producers aware of her now than a few weeks ago.

But, right now I doubt right now she'd consider that trade-off worth it. You know that when she's on-set, she's got to wonder which of the men she works with have watched her videos, and some certainly will have. And even for the guys who don't watch, everyone will have heard about it so that's got to make things awkward for a while. "If I go over and ask how she's doing, will she think I'm a creep?..." Hell, just walking down the street, its' got to be on her mind, "did that kid smile because he recognized me from the internet? Why is my waiter looking at his phone over there?"
That's not even getting into asshole comments that must have been sent to her twitter.

By comparison, Aubrey Plaza has gotten off easy. Yeah, those vids are probably her, but not nearly as clear. And most people watching them probably already know who she is.

I completely agree with you. In the short term at least she is going to wonder what is going on in everyone's mind when they even look at her. Time is the best healer and she will eventually get over this. At least I hope she does. But I feel terrible for her kid. It is not going to pleasant at all for her kid to be seeing 'Mommy Fapping' videos on the net.

 

I don't think that would have changed even before the vids. A professional is going to think about his/her product and her potential to help it.
