    Today’s results are in!

    Group 45
Rachel Roberts (64.7%) defeated Lena Kansbod (35.7%)
Bregje Heinen (83.3%) defeated Britta Dubbels (16.7%)

    Group 46
Juliana Martins (68.8%) defeated Maria Von Hartz (31.2%)
Carre Otis (56.3%) defeated Zoe Duchesne (43.7%)

    Group 47
Selita Ebanks (87.5%) defeated Naomi Campbell (12.5%)
Sara Sampaio (77.8%) defeated Apollonia van Ravenstein (22.2%)

    My spin:
The closest match of the day was in Group 46, where Carre Otis outlasted Zoe Duchesne. In that same group, Juliana Martins made her first appearance in this year’s tournament and certainly looks like a contender for first place in the group.

Group 47’s results were expected yet still interesting. Specifically, this marks the second time in as many attempts that supermodel Naomi Campbell has been trounced by a tough competitor. I’m not sure if it’s a reflection on the quality of the competition or a lack of quality on Naomi’s part, but it sure is interesting. She has virtually no chance of advancing in the tournament after two such performances.

In my case, it's definitely a reflection on how much I dislike Naomi Campbell. I forget who she faced last time, but I certainly consider Selita Ebanks heads and tails hotter than Naomi, and Naomi's personality sinks her. Heck, I only barely consider Naomi better than the Kardashians and Paris Hiltons of the world.

    Today’s results are in!

    Group 1
Elle Macpherson (94.1%) defeated Carla Campbell (5.9%)
Jessica Gomes (85.0%) defeated Vicky Howard (15.0%)

    Group 2
Valeria Mazza (82.4%) defeated Barbara Minty (17.6%)
Samantha Hoopes (76.5%) defeated Maggie Smith (23.5%)

    Group 3
Stephanie Seymour (100.0%) defeated Kathy Loghry (0.0%)
Lily Aldridge (82.4%) defeated Amy Wesson (17.6%)

    My spin:
We’re into cycle #3 of the round robin play in the Group Stage, so the leaders in each group are becoming clearer. In Group 1 - the only group with just four models - Elle Macpherson and Jessica Gomes are the clear favorites. The Group 1 title will come down to their next match, when they face off against each other.

The favorite in Group 2, Kathy Ireland, had a bye this cycle, so Samantha Hoopes jumped ahead of her in the table with her victory over Maggie Smith. Samantha and Kathy face each other in the next round robin cycle, and it will likely determine first place. Valeria Mazza has an outside chance, as well, and there is always a wild card possibility for anyone who doesn’t finish in first.

In Group 3, Stephanie Seymour captured the 13th clean sheet of the tournament with her win over Kathy Loghry. Lily Aldridge remained in the hunt for first place, as well, with her win.

    Today’s results are in!

    Group 4
May Andersen (78.9%) defeated Hillary Safire (21.1%)
Lynn Brophy (82.4%) defeated Louise Vyent (17.6%)

    Group 5
Melissa Haro (83.3%) defeated Roberta Little (16.7%)
Valerie van der Graaf (62.5%) defeated Jessie Sanders (37.5%)

    Group 6
Quiana Grant (69.2%) defeated Karen Alexander (30.8%)
Marloes Horst (94.1%) defeated Beri Smither (5.9%)

    My spin:
In Group 4, May Andersen joined Cheryl Tiegs atop the group, with both models having won two matches in two attempts. On the opposite end of the spectrum, Louise Vyent and Hillary Safire both continued to be winless. I suppose the good news for them is that there will likely be a winner when they face each other!

In Group 5, Melissa Haro dominated for the 2nd match in a row, and she looks like she’ll be giving favorite Yamila Diaz-Rahi a real battle for first place.

Finally, there’s Group 6. It has been the most evenly matched group so far, with everyone knocking each other off. Everyone in the group has at least one win, and the only one to escapre unscathed to this point has been #6 rankd Daniela Pestova.

    Today’s results are in!

    Group 7
Lucia Dvorska (88.9%) defeated Anna Getaneh (11.1%)
Jeisa Chiminazzo (73.7%) defeated Amber Noelle Ehresmann (26.3%)

    Group 8
Fernanda Tavares (88.9%) defeated Anna Getaneh (11.1%)
Shana Zadrick (81.3%) defeated Erin Gray (18.7%)

    Group 9
Suzy Smith (75.0%) defeated Audrey Quock (25.0%)
Shirley Mallmann (75.0%) defeated Jocelyn Javits (25.0%)

    My spin:
The surprise of the day was in Group 9, where Audrey Quock, the #52 ranked model, was soundly beaten by #219 ranked Suzy Smith. Perhaps it shouldn’t come as a surprise, though, since this is now the 2nd match in which Audrey was beaten easily. Surely, her ranking will plummet for next year.

The other matches played out as expected. The one notable result was Erin Gray’s huge loss against Shana Zadrick. Erin has had a rollercoaster of a tournament so far, as she’s lost two matches huge, yet she also won one match in which she received 100% of the vote. Strange.

    Today’s results are in!

    Group 10
Lujan Fernandez (93.8%) defeated Carla Maria (6.2%)
Ehrinn Cummings (52.9%) defeated Veronica Blume (47.1%)

    Group 11
Bridget Hall (55.6%) defeated Jessica Hart (44.4%)
Yesica Toscanini (76.2%) defeated Melania Knauss (23.8%)

    Group 12
Melissa Keller (75.0%) defeated Carmen Luisa Vela (25.0%)
Jarah Mariano (70.6%) defeated Alicia Hall (29.4%)

    My spin:
In Group 10, the underappreciated (in my opinion) Veronica Blume put a scare into Ehrinn Cummings, but ultimately Ehrinn prevailed to improve to 3-0 in the competition. In the other match in the group, Lujan Fernandez kept her tournament hopes alive with an easy victory.

Yesica Toscanini moved into first place alone in Group 11 with her easy victory over Mrs. Trump, and Jessica Hart put up a good fight but ultimately fell to 0-3 in the tournament.

Finally, Group 12 went as expected. Melissa Keller and Jarah Mariano are the only ones in the group that could possibly pose a threat to Kate Upton for first place. But, of those two, only Melissa has a real shot, since Jarah was already thrashed by Kate earlier in the competition. The more realistic scenario for both is that they are playing for a wild card spot.

    Today’s results are in!

    Group 13
Yasmeen Ghauri (88.2%) defeated Annette Molen (11.8%)
Michaela Bercu (53.3%) defeated Irina Gerasimenko (46.7%)

    Group 14
Izabel Goulart (95.0%) defeated Tanga Moreau (5.0%)
Pixie Peterson (58.8%) defeated Ana Paula Araujo (41.2%)

    Group 15
Kylie Bax (66.7%) defeated Bernadette Swann (33.3%)
Lauren Mellor (90.0%) defeated Cris Urena (10.0%)

    My spin:
In Group 13, Michaela Bercu rebounded from getting no votes in her previous matchup to winning this one. The other result, Yasmeen’s easy win, was expected.

In Group 14, Pixie Peterson notably picked up her second win of the tournament, as she’s giving some credibility to old-school models. In the other match, Izabel Goulart steamrolled her way to a victory over Tanga Moreau.

Speaking of steamrollers, Group 15 has one in Lauren Mellor. Lauren won the battle of 2014 rookies against Cris Urena, and she looks to be a serious challenger to group favorite Heidi Klum. That match will be an interesting one to watch.

Ana Paula Lemes (67.5%) defeated Brandi Quinones (32.5%)

    My spin:
All of today’s results were completely expected, and the only really notable result was French cutie Aurelie Claudel earning the 14th clean sheet of the tournament. Amazingly, each of the 14 clean sheets have had unique winners and losers. Nobody has had two on the winning side or on the losing side.

    Today’s results are in!

    Group 19
Noemie Lenoir (91.7%) defeated Paulette Kieon (8.3%)
Yasmin Brunet (56.3%) defeated Malia Jones (43.7%)

    Group 20
Natasha Barnard (93.8%) defeated Carol Latimer (6.2%)
Turia Mau (54.5%) defeated Charissa Craig (45.5%)

    Group 21
Reka Ebergenyi (93.3%) defeated Sabrina Barnett (6.7%)
Chanel Iman (66.7%) defeated Kate James (33.3%)

    My spin:
Noemie and Yasmin prevailed in Group 19, which sends them both into a three-way tie atop the group table with Ashley Richardson. Ashley and Noemie have one fewer game, so they hold the advantage, but Yasmin could certainly still win the group with some luck.

In Group 20, it’s a clear two-horse race. Natasha Barnard easily won again to pull just ahead of the idle Rachel Hunter in the group table. Other than those two, the competition in the group is just to see which of the plain old school models can actually win a match. So far, Turia Mau and Carol Latimer have, but Charissa Craig has not.

Finally, there’s the weirdest group of them all: Group 21. The group has had at least one draw in each of the round robin cycles so far, but this time we actually saw two matches play out to clear winners. Chanel Iman stayed ahead of Reka Ebergenyi in the table, but both are fighting an uphill battle trying to chase down Nina Agdal. The wild card is a more realistic goal for Chanel and/or Reka at this point.

    Today’s results are in!

    Group 22
Kenza Fourati (54.5%) defeated Michelle Alves (45.5%)
Aline Nakashima (75.0%) defeated Sarah Nursey (25.0%)

    Group 23
Dayle Haddon (88.2%) defeated Hina Tama (11.8%)
Monika Schnarre (76.5%) defeated Ann Peterson (23.5%)

    Group 24
Tori Praver (73.9%) defeated Andrea Orme (26.1%)
Emily Ratajkowski (53.1%) defeated Hannah Ferguson (46.9%)

    My spin:
The Group of Death (Group 24) kept rolling, and the marquis matchup was EmRata versus HannahFerg. Emily prevailed in an extremely close match, and she takes sole possession of first place in the group so far. Emily hasn’t dominated any of her (tough) opponents, but if she wins her next match over Tyra Banks, she’ll clinch first place.

In Group 22, Aline Nakashima continued her flawless tournament with an easy victory over Sarah Nursey. Aline now sits atop the table in her group, but Elsa Benitez is still lurking in the future.

Finally, Group 23 saw an upset as Monika Schnarre knocked off Ann Peterson, which will likely cost Ann any shot at first place in the group. #23 Stacey Williams now sits in the driver’s seat of her group for the rest of the Group Stage.

    Today’s results are in!

    Group 25
Karen Mulder (88.9%) defeated Irina Pantaeva (11.1%)
Kara Young (55.6%) defeated Julie Henderson (44.4%)

    Group 26
Renee Simonsen (61.9%) defeated Annie Morton (38.1%)
Michelle Vawer (68.0%) defeated Jessica Van Der Steen (32.0%)

    Group 27
Carolyn Murphy (95.0%) defeated Akure Wall (5.0%)
Louise Forsling (63.6%) defeated Ariel Meredith (36.4%)

    My spin:
Group 25 just turned into a wide open race, as Julie Henderson fell to Kara Young. Julie looked like she’d be the favorite after her huge win over #25 seed Chrissy Teigen, but this loss puts that in question. Karen Mulder now sits atop the table, but she still has work to do to stay there, as she has yet to face Julie or Chrissy.

Renee Simonsen and Michelle Vawer won in Group 26 to create a three-way tie atop the table. Those two are tied with Judit Masco, who had a bye this cycle. It’s anyone’s title to win, since those three still have matches amongst each other.

In Group 27, we have another three-way tie for first place, as Louise Forsling and Carolyn Murphy vaulted into a first place tie with Carol Alt. Carol and Carolyn are undefeated, while Louise has a loss, though. Speaking of this group, Ariel Meredith is proving to be one of the biggest disappointments of this year’s tournament. She was within spitting distance of a top 50 ranking entering the tournament, but she has faltered. She lost her first match to Carol Alt, which is very much understandable, but this loss to Louise is crushing for Ariel. She has two matches left to try to turn it around.
