  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

Hi, just wondering if anyone else has a problem downloading from yousendit?

EDIT: Problem solved, it wouldn't resume in my usual download manager, even after following their instructions  But I downloaded YSIGet which got the file without a problem...

PS Why can't I delete posts in this section?

    I'm on Mac OS X -- I can't use YSIGet...

've lost patience with YSI. I can't complete a download.

  3. Please stop asking about YSI problems on your posts in the vid forum.

Sometimes depending on your connection speed and the size of the file, it becomes unstable and disconnects you. If you use a dl manager or right click and save target you can resume your dl's. Again stop with the questions about the YSI dl problems.

OK -- sorry. I thought this forum was only about phun.org issues.

I looked here only after I posted in video vault.

I'll look into a d/l manager for OS X and post here if I find one that works. Safari is pretty clueless about resumes... maybe OS X Tiger will have a better d/l manager. I've read previews that indicate Safari is much better in OS X 10.4.

  5. Also if someone gives you a link and a bunch of people are trying to dowload the same file at once it tends to slow down your download speed.

I'm having trouble uploading to YSI as well. I can DL fine, though. When I uplaod it starts out okay but then I get the dreaded "This page cannot be displayed" before the upload completes. Any help on why this could be happening would be much appreciated. I want to share vids!!

  8. Check where ever you sent the link to sometimes it completes the upload then you get the error. So it might actually be done. Also what are you using firefox or IE and type of connection that has an effect. Lastly browsing in another window while uploading slows down your your connection speed.
