I've been using yousend it for my large vids for a while now....and recently I can't upload anything to it.

I've been trying to host a 150mb vid for a few weeks now but whenever the page load is done it just dies....

Anybody know how to get around this?

Everytime i upload a large file, it will finish, but once it is thru uploading it comes up with a page saying "No Data Found" or something along those lines. It pisses me off thinking that i wasted all that time for nothing. But i'll check my e mail a couple minutes later and it will be there. So have you tried checking your e mail to see if it did indeed finish uploading?

I just read this on YouSendit's site.. Should I/WE be concerned?

    hmmm

  9. If your really worried about adult content ie porn just change the file name. Just change the title to something more friendly like random numbers before uploading. I have uploaded over 10 gigs of porn on there for this site and for my friends and have not run into much problems. They can't see what you uploaded until someone bitches or they dl for themselves. They have the warnings because it's the law and copyright issues, I really don't think they care and with all the people using there services it's money in there pockets from the advertisements.

Changing the name is probably the best idea. Or you could also zip it or rar it and then change the name of the zip/rar file and then upload that.

Tommy and SirCum (love that name)
Thanks for the info. I became concerned after speaking to a friend about potential legal problems with UL porn. Since I work in education, I have to be very careful. Yeh I know.."If my friends could see me now"

BTW, I thought zipping files was frowned on. After I recently zipped 2 vids and uploaded to YSI, I was bracing for a tongue lashing for breaking the rules.
Oh well, I'll just change the file name and see what happens.

Ummm didn't realize there was a problem with zipping. The first I have heard about it. I mean I guess the only bad thing about it is if you were to zip it you would need the whole file to download completly or your left with garbage. Regular files if they are not completely downloaded can still be played. So thats the only negative I could think of offhand.

Most of the times I have seen the zipping/raring is when a scene comes in several files. Perhaps people hate having to put them together.

Glad you liked the name. lol

The first time I did YSI, I was surfing a lot while it was uploading and it gave me that message. So just leave your computer alone while you are uploading and see if that helps.
