  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

Why is FileServe banned?

    Why is FileServe banned? is it because of the 400mb limit to free users? Or is it a bad host/unreliable? I just want to know.

    The admins peruse many hosting sites looking for worthy ones to add to our approved list. Seeing as how FileServe isn't on it, one must assume that they haven't looked at it yet, or they have, and they found something about the host that wasn't to their liking. ;)

    They should really look at fileserve. It's way better than Filesonic and could certainly be a good option.

    ^ perhaps look at it another way, as it not being banned rather than it not being approved.
    There are umpteen file hosts out there, and more by the day as RS dies. These kind of threads are cropping up all over the various forums lol.

    That being said it is fast, but to be honest that will not last, there is no incentive to buy a Fileserve account, imo they cannot continue with the current speeds or wait time. It would make no sense if they did.
