Why don't more celebs fake leak pics/videos?

As far as I know, only kim kardashian has done this (she had 2 nudes she took on a blackberry posted during the fappening lol) I'm really surprised more haven't! It's a great idea if you think about it. It would guarantee a huge amount of press and attention

 

But does it give them the right kind of attention and press? Maybe if you're in that untalented idiot pool like the karcrashian's but if you're trying to be taken seriously why would you?

 

I just think, a LOT of these celebs and starlets really love to show off, but if they do nude photos or really racy photos, that can harm their image/brand. But a leak? That's completely different.

 

Leaks are automatically suspect.

Fake fakes probably do exist just to satisfy any exhibitionism and to fuck with people.

With the last decade, one might say a fake-stardom has been invented and everybody tries to make money off it. It's a neverending circle of fake-stardom which everyone tries to milk, especially news-sites aka the old blogosphere. One might argue you are a celebrity if thousands of people look at your IG pics everyday, but what also sometimes counts (depending on one's perspective) is why. So that fake-stardom does not attract lots of people... in the first place, but many try to get in on it later on and share content with their "fans".

 

Kim Kardashian didn't "fake leak" shit (Besides the original sex tape). That was the theory back when everyone was blaming icloud for the leak, but news has been out for months that it wasn't some icloud exploit, these guys literally just sent phishing emails to a bunch of celebrities telling them to reset their passwords via a phishing link. The whole "kim faked the leak cuz blackberry!!!" theory is false.

 

That's not how you get recognized as a serious actor/actress/artist. If you seriously think that you need to look at the long line of porn stars/Playboy Centerfolds/Nude Models who have tried to develop legitimate careers. For every Pam Anderson there are tons of Ginger Lynn Allens and Farrah Abrahams who have crashed and burned. Do you think that the "Fappening" photos of Jennifer Lawrence and Kate Upton helped their careers? This also goes to the theory that some have that all pretty women are just dying for us to see them naked. If Katy Perry wanted you to see her nude she could make a ton of money by calling up a magazine and telling them to send over a photographer. If a Celebrity wants to pose nude they don't have to "leak" a photo to do it. Look at Lindsay Lohan, when she needed the money she did Playboy, she didn't "leak" some nude photos.

 

I'm not interested in why someone is or becomes a celebrity. I know that a lot of them actually would like to do nude or at least very revealing photos but they would be judged and criticized very harshly if they did. People would accuse them of selling sex, being desperate, being a slut and all sorts of things. Look at how much criticism and abuse women get in comment sections when they do a really sexy photoshoot, it's not good for their image and I'm sure in general it's not recommend. But a leak? How can people fault them or criticize them for that?

 

Nude photos or sex tapes have rarely helped anyone's career. Tell me how a "leaked" nude of Katy Perry or Taylor Swift or Selena Gomez would "help" their careers? Tell me how many roles Scarlett Johansson got because of her stolen nudes. I like everyone else stand in awe of how Mindy McCready's career took off after her sex tape was "leaked"....oh, right. And as for the fake "leaked" sextape, well, how good did that work out for Farrah Abraham? She made some money (although reportedly much less than reported) but she started on MTV and she wound up right back where she started. I don't see anyone clamoring to cast her in anything, even another porn. Show me where anyone's career was helped by their pictures being leaked in "the Fappening". It isn't done because;

1)It rarely works
2)Not all (in fact probably very few) want everyone to see them naked and having sex.

Sorry guy, but those are the cold hard facts.

 

weren't most of Kelly Brooks and her BF's pics from the Fappening self leaked, revenge leaked. Which is probably why all we got were her lovingly showing off her tits and no real puss shots or her enjoying his big black cock.

 

Adrienne Bailon faked a leak. Which essentially killed her already going nowhere career, the price of wanting to be a Kardashian clone. So nobody does it.

 

Besides, some people have been actually harmed by genuine leaks, and it's considered to be in poor taste to take advantage of it to gain fame. A few weeks ago, a band named Yacht (where the two members are in a relationship together) tried to do some promo with some fake "stolen footage" (that showed nothing). It was just an excuse to ultimately expose people to their music. They actually wanted to start publicity about their sex tape, and got in touch with several websites, like Gawker and PornHub, so they would release the fake footage. Their stunt totally backfired, and they were blamed for making a mockery of something that has consequences for real victims.

 

But thats just it, Kim wasnt part of the original release of the Fappening. it was only after the big media storm that followed it that hers were "leaked". With her you have to consider, every time she falls out of the spotlight... something "mysteriously" happens that pics of her get "leaked" putting her back in the spotlight. Besides.. her blackberry photos.. her hair and makeup were done, lighting was perfect.. photographer perfect, but with a phones camera? It had to be staged. I experimented in several rooms of the house, i couldnt even come close to a reasonable lighting. The pics were staged, and just dropped on the internet. Had to be, hers were the only ones with great lighting effect. Kate Upton's, and Jennifer Lawrence's pictures.. not great lighting, more about what you would expect from a phone, and Kate, being a model would know what great lighting looks like, on her, on film all of it. And yet, none of her pics had set up lighting kind of work.

 

Because they're not stupid. It doesn't lead to greater or enhanced success.
