This is just a publicity stunt, I had completely forgotten she existed before this and am sure that is the case for the general public, so this is a desperate attempt to change that

 

regardless of the picture being available. they were sending her threatening messages and trying to extort money. Even without nipples involved that's a crime.

The only version circulating was hastily edited and showed some white color applied to the original photograph to cover the nipple. The original one hasn't surfaced. The version that was posted is actually yet another one, as someone crudely drew a circle in red around the nipple to highlight it.
It is also based on a screen cap, which means that the person who saved the picture (23 hours after it was added to her IG story) wasn't familiar with more efficient methods to download stories.

It was probably some dumb kid who tried to take advantage of the accidental post to see if it could get him somewhere. He sent her a copy where he had added the red circle, in case she wouldn't know where her breasts are, as evidence of his claims, and that's the one she used, as she didn't have the original picture saved somewhere. She may have overreacted for what amounts to leaking the equivalent of a nip slip, but she was nevertheless threatened with extortion, and she wanted to tell a message about that. Sometimes, it's a matter of principle rather than publicity.
