When does an thread become 'old'?

When exactly does a thread become old?

What happens if you're on holiday for a week or two? Have you missed the boat?

And do you do if you're searching for someone (say you're going to post some pics) and you find an old thread with them in, and want to say 'hot', or 'nice pics' etc?

 

Your assed out, usually 2 weeks old before we ask you not to pull it up.

For a YSI post its generally 7 days after the initial post. (After 7 days if the 25 downloads are not used up they delete the file) However on occasion if a post is popular the poster will post it back up again and will take request. But that doesn't happen too often though.

For other posts as Tommy said its 2 weeks from the post date.

If your on holiday your just SOL when you come back.

For the last question you just hold your comments. There are plenty of other new stuff to put your comments on. If these rules were not in place you would have new stuff mixed with old stuff all the time and that would annoy folks. It keeps it alot cleaner this way.

There seems to have been an influx of noobs over the last few days who are intent on resurrecting old threads. It's fucking annoying, especially the same week that I asked this down here - I sent a PM to one dude who was nice about things, but there's fucking loads of them. Can we set dave loose on them? Or can we add this into the rules/FAQs?

 

I think Azz and co do their best to luck up any old threads. Maybe if you know a Mod is online, bump the thread to the top with a message to the person who resurected the thread, should get the Mod's attention from there, or a PM if it's really old. Just my thoughts.
