  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    no, it isn´t - at least not until we hire 20 phunners as "link-editors".

    as always it´s all about weighing up. there are also phunners who don´t like this "mod-approval"-thing. we do know that there are good-willing contributors affected by our efforts to contain spam here.

    not really. that would also counteract the idea....

    the "history":
    there have been times phunners were most active in the forum-issue-thread reporting crap. to stop this and to try to convince spammers that phun isn´t supposed to be their favorite hotspot anymore the spam-filter and the mod-approval were implemented.

    i think in general nobody actually complaints that random 50 crappy (harmful?) threads and even more posts don´t see phun´s daylight.

    links are censored when they are deamed harmful or can be used in an abusive manner. If a url is deamed to be harmful to the general members/viewers if phun we will censor it. Most url shorteners are censored because they can hide the true malicious nature of the original link. Others are cash type hosting services for images and files, etc. If you see it just report it to us. ;)
