What happens with older threads?

What happens with older threads? 2000-2009 ones.
Are they deleted?

 

We only started in 2004, but no, threads don't get deleted unless they're deleted for a reason. Otherwise, they remain, they're just more difficult to find.

 

A lot of them go to nursing homes when they can't care for themselves any more.

 

We takes em out back and BURNS EM! Y'AAARRR!!!!

 

Or gxnn sells them on the black market in China.

 

I've encountered a few threads that I can find with google but not with the forum's search engine.

I've also searched for some terms with the forum's search engine and the oldest threads were from 2008-2009.

So, I thought that older threads disappear from the board.

 

When you search, you can only find the last 100 threads with the particular terms you search for, so if you search for 'Aniston' for example, it will bring up the last 100 threads with that word in it, which means the older threads won't show. Which means doing an advanced search, ie searching in a particular form (say celeb) and over a certain time range, and using different words etc can help narrow it down.

Give me an example of what you've said and I'll see if I can elaborate further.

Neither option did show at least the link that I've found on google(http://forum.phun.org/showthread.php?t=135712).

Why?

 

Can you paste the screenshot of the search you're doing? I'd like to help solve this puzzle. What I'm thinking is that if you search off the word Ira in the Model Forum, it will turn up. But given that the title key word has " around it, that means that word won't show in a search, if that makes sense.

I cant find thread from me prior to 11-12-2010.This is weird.If i search with my nickname i only get 100 results.

Hmm ok now i understand.Could you increase it to 500 results?

 

This was brought up in the past, cayne preferred it to be limited to 100 so it won't bring up an overload. If people do an advanced search as you mentioned, it's easy to narrow down to find the thread being looked for, provided it's labelled correctly, using the date range, particular forum etc.
