  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    Don't you think its a good idea to just send a pm to someone when you delete their threads, so they know what the problem is? It would save all of these "where did my post go" threads.

    i see your point, but:

    there are more than 50 threads a day to be deleted, plus some 100 posts.
    that´s why we tend to have stickies in each section with some basics.

    I see that, but if its a complete thread being deleted, you should at least let them know why. You guys are always asking for suggestions about how to make the forum better, this is one of them.

    just because... we had a time when people here used a bunch of unrelieable, useless, sometimes even harmful imagehosts. that caused a decent ammount of trouble, complaints etc. - we decided to contain that.

    I think rather than a personal service from the moderators for every action taken, users should take note of and stay within the rules. This would prevent all of these "where did mt post go" threads.

    Way to pay attention. I didn't say for EVERY action taken, that is silly. Just for when you delete an entire thread. People do make mistakes, and a member here deserves to know what mistake that was.

    Remember that the mods also have to look through a lot of posts especially here on phun. They can also send every member a PM of their mistakes but if all new members would read the rules that are stickied at the top of every thread, then they wouldn't have to PM every member of their mistakes :) Just my :2cent:
