  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    anyone know any programme that can be used to fast forward such videos?

    The problem with those videos -- usually captured from a stream, right? -- is that they're not fully indexed as files. I can't fast forward 'em either, but I'm thinking maybe converting them to another file format might help.

    If it is the first file of a HJSplit series then you can't fast forward until the whole file has been joined back together.

    There's a shitload of threads on this already. Mo's right - it's to do with the indexing. You can download programmes to repair it. Do a search in here, you'll find something.

    You can put them in AsfTools and click the basic repair, I do that all the time, it fixes something, I dunno what. Just google AsfTools, its free.

    ASFtools is a program which can make files seekable.
    I also use a freeware program from STOIK which can change formats and encodings of video files.
