  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    I see you guys are trying out various hosts but need to commit to a few so I can check out the sites and see the file size, length of days hosted, and download limit.

    Rapid Share
    Quick File
    Giga Share
    KeepMyFile

    Unknown
    Yousendit - alot of blocked links and problems
    Turbo Upload - somedays good, other days 13kbs is the fastest.

    Banned
    Sexuploder
    Megaupload

    Just post your opionion if you have used it so I can update the vid vault. Thanks.

    So far it's been a good experience using KeepMyFile. I have been uploading for days, and will post a full movie today or tomorrow. The upload speeds have been consistent. I've put up 16 rar files that are 49.5MB. Each upload has taken 30 min, and I have only had two error messages. Every issue that has been raised, has been dealt with promptly. I really like the uploading of pics feature offered to members as well.

    Filefront. I've share about 10 vids using their hosting service.

    Upload up to 1 gig
    Tracks upload speed and tells you how much time remains for the upload.
    Unlimited dl's with links that do not expire (but can be blocked)

    Have had no trouble whatsoever with Filefront and have been using their service for about 3 or 4 weeks.

    filefront has also been working well for me so far. excellent download speeds and everything in2sharing said.

    I'd suggest renaming the file and changing the file ext. when using filefront. Then supply the correct file name and ext. so the downloader can rename them afterwards.

    I agree with this for FileFront I've had one vid hosted there for sometime now, I renamed it jhpbj.mpg. Next time I will change the extension as well, some thing like jhpbj.deb

    A link is generated that is valid for 7 days or a set number of downloads... but also YSI has had many problems, including uploads getting messed up and/or bad (blocked) links.

    The link is sent to the email address that you put in before the upload, keep hold of that link and send it by PM to worthy contributors who reply to your thread.
