  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

Uploading and Downloading

Discussion in 'About phun.org' started by TommyboyDaMan, Jul 25, 2005.

  1. People complaining that they get disconnected or there download speed is affected while downloading off ysi or any where else, I have noticed something.

I was curious about working with 2 browsers open FF as my surfing and work browser and IE as my ul and dl browser. Now I am downloading a 400 meg vid a friend gave me and for the last 45 minutes I have noticed no change in dl speed while I am browsing this forum and others. Also I have not gotten disconnected from ysi like I usually do on large ysi vids. It might just be my comp or good ysi server. But just wanted to share. On average whe I dl or ul on one browser I lose 10 - 15 kbs a second depending on what I am doing but it has been constant and steady.

new problem for me today....can anyone advise?

all 3 YSI links i have clicked into today have returned the following message:-

    File Transfer: Unavailable
Unfortunately, the link you have clicked is not available.

Your transfer cannot be completed. Most likely the file has exceeded its allotted bandwidth or has been removed by the original sender or a recipient.

it can't be the links got killed so quickly, so i suspect something else..have i been downloading too much and got banned??? :(

    help! please......

I use Avant and IE browsers and have 2 monitors on this comp, and 2 comps hardwired networked. Sometimes I will be uploading on my second computer, downloadin on IE on one monitor of this computer, and surfin on Avant browser on the other monitor. I think the 2 browsers make it possible.
