Haven't posted in a long time, but I thought this would be an ideal spot to get some feedback on some test artwork for my project.

I've had some downtime from my regular gig, so I've been developing the main character for my project, which has morphed from an animated film to a sci-fi graphic novel, with the possibility of also being a semi-animated web comic.

These test renders were made to look like a hybrid between realistic and cartoon, with some hand drawn lines mixed in. The hair was a bitch. I spent the last couple weeks just getting a hair rig set up so it drops into whatever pose the character gets into automatically.

I have it storyboarded, and its going to be pretty wild. I'm hoping to self publish and market myself if I ever get the fucker done. What do you think of the main character? She won't have a name, as there's no dialogue in the script. It's all visual.

I agree with TheOne. She definitely needs a name :D

I really like the style, and nice job on the hair.

Which 3D program are you using? (I'm a Softimage man, myself).

The geometry file itself is named Kali, but when you see the final project, you'll understand why she's not named.

Thanks for the comments, I'll try to keep this thing alive and post some more stuff here when I can work on it.

some nice work, and definitely unique to what we have here. i have a bit of history with 3d modelling but i never got into organic or living shapes, i always concentrated on architectural stuff so while i have an understanding of this sort of thing, what you've actually made is way beyond my comprehension! love the render style yo've used, perfectly complements the accentuated body. hope to see more.
