    I liked her back in the day, but I think her downfall after the early 2000s was that she never really could decide who she wanted to be. Did she want to be a folk singer, a rock singer, country? She tried dance and R&B for a minute. She even made an album of lullabies for her kid. I guess being a mom is what she ultimately decided.

    I had a crush on her a bit. It was college days for me. I also liked her sound, but I may not be the best litmus for that, I like quirky sounding music. I will absolutely belt What’s Up by 4 non blondes, who that singer I also wanted to bang.

    ? And? Does she have to stop making music?

    A friend and I went to see her in glasgow on her second album tour. Was a really good show. She told a lot of stories between songs and is really charming. She is also easily the best singet I have ever heard in person. Absolutely stunning sound and control of her abilities.

    That was kind of my point. And I explained why. Settling on motherhood rather than a musical style and identity works for her, I suppose.
