  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

How can I split, say a 100MB file into 5 20MB files? I have tried with winrar but have no idea what I am doing LOL!!

  2. Depending on the type of file there are splitting programs in the vid vault rules to help you.

Yes you can only play the first file when you use hjsplit. To play the others you will need to join them all together. What are you wanting to do after you split them?

The spliting file in vid rules is only for hjsplit. For general file spliting I use videosplitter.exe which can be downloaded at http://www.boilsoft.com and then search for a crack if you want to.

Alright i'm feeling generous so here's a quick *.rar tutorial ;)

Step 1: Right-click the file you want to split & select 'Add to archive'

Step 2: From here you can assign a name to the archive & select how big each file is

Note: The archive size is in bytes, RS & QF can accept a maximum of 50,000,000 bytes. For a 20mb file you want to split it into chunks of ~ 21,000,000 bytes.

Step 3: If you want to password protect your file, go to advanced > Set password

Step 4: Go to general & select OK. That's it, you're done...

Once you select OK the file should split automatically & no further user input is required...
