  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

Is there a way of downloading a big page of pics hosted on imagevenue or whatever from the previews instead of clicking the thumbs one by one then saving them one by one.

I tried Downthemall and Flashgot in Firefox but i can only get them to download the thumbs not the full size pics :-? .

Look for a DatsFowl thread about Offline Explorer. It is very useful/powerful when you understood about tuning it.
If the pics have a common part in their names (i.e. 1c5_sandy_023.jpg, you can filter on _sandy_ ), you can get all that you want. Even a french guy can use it !

I use Firefox and open up about 10-15 pics at a time in different tabs. I open up the first tab, right click on the pic, then hit 'v' (Save), then 'Return', then open the next tab. It usually takes less than 5 seconds to save 10-15 pics. The first pic is the one that takes the longest, because you've got to select your directory (if you organize your pics). There was a really long Topanga thread a while ago, and I flew through all those pics in no time.

The most reliable way I've found is using the Magpie Tools extension in Firefox.. CTRL-Click on 10-20 thumbs to open each in it's own tab, then once they're all loaded, CTRL-SHIFT-S (from the image thread tab) which saves the content from all the tabs you just opened. Rinse & Repeat through the rest of the thumbnails.

Something like Picaloader works pretty well but I always end up having some images get lost...
