  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

I attempted to make a video request and have since seen the thread disappear twice. I even posted screenshots of the videos I was requesting. Am I requesting improperly? How many contributing posts do I need before I make a request? Is it possible to at least get a notification that a request was deleted and for what reasons? Do picture posts only count towards picture requests and video posts only count towards video requests?

Or am I just doing something completely wrong? Please let me know (in a non-flame fashion) so I won't make the same mistake again. If something was wrong then I apologize.

    Thank you.

  2. Let me see pulling up 2 1 month old threads usually gets a ban for a few days, but seeing I felt your a noob I just deleted your posts and another thing try posting up some vids before asking.

Well, I ran a search for what I was requesting and came up empty so I had no idea that the subject was from older threads. I also had no idea that being a noob, regardless of contributing post count, carried that much weight. This gives me the impression that noob status is a time thing so how long do I need to wait before I am not considered a noob?

The vid posting makes sense. I have over 100 pic thread posts and only 1 vid post but I had no idea that each were only directed related to the specific forums. I will try to improve on that department. From what I could see, none of this was made clear on the FAQ.

  4. 4) REPLYING TO THREADS. Do not reply to any thread (even your own) that is more than 2 weeks old (date of the last reply) unless you have new content to add to that thread.

    This is not clearly stated?

Anyway some people just post in the vid, some people just post pics. A few members don't like to share vids with people who have not posted vids becuase that's all they poist. It's not a rule it a courtesy to some.

Okay, the courtesy part makes sense to me now but the "Replying to Threads" part does not. The rule itself is clear but not how that specifically applies to anything I have done. If I did happen to reply to two one month old threads, I wasn't aware. I know the "Signatures" thread was a little old but I figured my signature post was considered content for that particular thread. I am curious to know what the other month old thread was.

I understand the vid forum etiquette now so thank you for clearing that up for me.

  6. Because the vid post you replied to is a month old, ysi links are active for 1 week of the first post unless that person reups it.

If your talking about the 2 requests posts I trashed it due to there is none of that in the vid forum. Because once it starts everybody will be flooding the vid forum with it.
