Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

is there a site where i can download a program that can edit movies, and just take certain scenes out of them, so i can post more scenes, instead of whole movies.

While we're on the subject, I've been using Windows Movie Maker, but I feel I'm losing quality going from .avi to WMV. The edit is great, but I'd like to keep the file as an .avi. I've downloaded "AVI MPEG ASF WMV Splitter" by biolsoft, but every time I use it, the audio track goes out of sync. Any help solving that one?

since windows movie maker is made by microsoft, it probably only saves in .wmv format. And windows movie maker does sometimes lose some of the quality, but what do you expect from a free pre-loaded program. If you want the end result to be an .avi file and still use windows movie maker, you'll just have to search the net for a converter. Usually you can dick around with the settings a little bit with WMM and get a decent quality result in wmv format.

  5. I have tried windows movie maker and out of curiousity split a 1.5 gig movie into 2 parts to fit on a cd and don't recommend it. Even saving it it to the highest quality setting you still get a poor quality .wmv vid. I think it went from 1.5 gig to about a little over 300 megs for for both parts.

If you planning to save it and not watch it I would use a program like hjsplit.
If your planning to split and watch use ezsplitter.

Thanks TommyboyDaMan, the WMV quality has been bothering me. Any comment on the audio problem I mentioned?
