  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    I am just wondering if requesting a video is allowed on these forums. I couldn't find a rule either way but i don't wanna do it and make a mod spend the time deleting the post. so...are requests allowed?

    Its a tricky question for the Vid Vault. I guess its ok to request for a vid, but on the other hand, even if the vid you requested is posted, you don't automatically get the link (you have to be a vid poster yourself first). Anyhow, I hope we can sort this out by Sunday when we add a new mod ;-)

    The current rules do not allow for requesting anything in the video vault because it leads to people just making requests. In the recent past we had a post where folks could request things. But in the end the majority of the requests were from folks that had not made a single contribution to the vault. If there is a particular item you desire I would suggest putting in your sig something like "looking for or I am requesting" and then the item you are looking for. Quite a few folks have used this method.
