Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

I just uploaded a file to filefront weighing in at 114 MB.

Now, I know that in the rules it saids that if the file is less than 150 MB you're supposed to just post the link.

My question is if I do this would it be a situation like yousendit where if you do that the link will be dead before the end of the day?

Basically, if I'm using FileFront should I just put the link in the post or require members to request it?

you can still post the link in the open, but do not have a direct link to it. replace or change the "http" to "hxxp" or use code tags such as this

    Code:
    http://www.filefront.com

You have to sign up and open an account with FileFront, just use anonymous information. Speed is excellent, my download speeds are about 300kbps. They have a speed tracker on their uploads as well and I get around 350kbps. When their servers are busy, you have to wait in the queue, anyhwhere between 1-5 minutes. There is no download limit and members can not delete your files. You can manage all your uploads by organizing them and removing them when you feel like it. Just make sure to rename your files so they are discrete. They will ban your account if they find out you are hosting pornographic material since FF is a gaming site.

I'm actually trying FF for the first time tonight. Uploading a movie about 220 meg and it's taking me a couple of hours. I like the idea that it's out there as long as I want. If you use YSI and get a popular vid it ends up dying in less than 2 or 3 days.

Bumping this thread to call attention to this:

Wish I'd read this before using the site. One upload, one DMCA LEGAL VIOLATION e-mail, and John Ashcroft's on his way to my house!
