  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

Let's say somebody posts 20 pictures of a celeb in a bikini and 15 of them are low quality. A few days later higher quality pics are uploaded to the same thread but as a different post. Can we just incorporate the higher quality pics into the original post rather than add another post to the thread? Especially if the new HQ pics are uploaded by the original user.

I'm not a staff member, but I don't see why the original uploader wouldn't be allowed to add them to the first post. I always like when people put them as a new post though because it bumps the thread and I know to check it for new comments/pictures.

It sounds reasonable in theory but it doesn't work that way in practice. Allowing the OP to edit the content of their post can lead to problems and arguments, and as zippex pointed out, bumping a thread alerts people there may be new content to see, whereas editing a post won't have the same effect.
