  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

I recently bought a new Dell laptop, running windows 8. When I try to view phun, I get no less than three ads appear, two from the sides, and one from the bottom. Happens with Chrome, Firefox, and IE. I have no idea what to do to get rid of them. When I view the site using my pc, running the same browsers, I get no ads whatsoever. Am I doing something wrong?

What do these ads look like and what are they advertising? That sounds suspicious to me.

Unless something has changed with our ad provider, you should see one ad at the moment. It will wait for you to interact with the page in some way and then display a new tab or window with an ad for Livejasmin.com. It's not very desirable, but it will typically only happen once per day or browsing session.

If you are seeing something more or different than that, I would check if you accidentally installed something that is hijacking the page with it's own ads. I'm seeing this happen more and more with free apps that include some "free additional offer" upon installation. Check both your browser addons/extensions and for new programs that have been installed to Windows itself. If you don't find anything, also try running a malware scan. But, the fact that it only happens on one of your computers stands out as a sign that it's something to do with that computer and not Phun itself.

Think I figured things out. Apparently, while downloading something else, I also downloaded some advertising programs. Used control panel/remove programs to get rid of them. Problem solved. Thanks for the help.
