  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    i forgot the name of it, its in the video vault instructions. anyway, i'm running windows ME. when i try to run the program, i get "run time error: this application has requested the run time to terminate it in an unusual way" any suggestions or other programs i could use?

    for me irfanview - works very well - just open the movie, pause it, move the vid to the desired frame, right-klick in vid and "copy" - "paste" it and save it as jpg - done

    You know... SHIFT and PRINT SCREEN on your keyboard works great as a screen capture. You just have to open up Paint and paste it.

    Irfanview is a very good program "little but efective".
    Another good program to do vidcaps is SnatchIt (allows to resize the vidcap).
