Non member limits?

I just went over to CU to see if anything was up and didnt log in. I got told i could only view so many pages because i was not a member.

Would that be beneficial or not to have this feature?

Pros
It might cut down traffic for the thousands of leeches that come in here every day.

Traffic from leeches will drain the bandwidth of sig hosts that keep getting crippled by phun.

Leechers would have to register, thus increasing the member base, which Cayne likes.

ad views would be down.
database would grow larger. (it has its problems already)

 

I'm neither here nor there on it i just thought it might be worth a discussion.


And what ads do you mean any way? Phun doesnt have any.

If i was a lurker i'd register just to get rid of those ads.

Just an idea, as i said.

 

it´s part of PHUN´s original concept not to have any kind of VIP-sections etc., that also includes everyone, guest or member has access to everything in the forums.
any change on that is completely Cayne´s decision.
