  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

Really depends on the size of your files and/or if you have the ability to split them. Generally if a file is under 50MB's it should be uploaded to rapidshare and when you make your post you display it in the post. For files larger then 50MB's you can use YouSentIt which can handle files up to 1GB. Your other choice would be to split a larger file into pieces less then 50MB's and upload each piece to rapidshare.

In any case there are a couple of things you should know. Although YSI allows larger files it only allows a file to be downloaded for 7 days or 25 times. Whichever comes first.

So if you do decide to upload to it you should ask people to request the YSI link from you on your thread. If you decide to share it with them then you can pm the link to them. You shouldn't post it out in the open becaise the link will be used up by anyone that can view the page. That includes non phun members.

Rapidshare allows unlimited downloads so that is why its okay to display rapidshare links in the open.
