Mods:Members ratio

NOTE: THIS IS NOT AN ATTACK ON THE WORK OF THE EXISTING MODS. THEY DO A FANTASTIC JOB HERE.

However, there's now over 24,000 members on this forum. We have 4 active mods - tommy, linus, sandman and azz. Does anybody else think it'd be a bit easier for them, and the quality of the forum would improve, if they had a little help?

There's plenty of very active members who'd do a sterling job - e.g. SirCumALot and lace, who work their arses off helping Tommy police the vid vault. Would everyone's lives not get a lot easier if one of them was a mod as well?

There's also a lot of time during the day (well, it's usually late afternoon for me, but I suppose that'd be morning in the states) when there's no mods on board, and the spammers can run riot. Some greater timezone coverage would be bloody useful, I'd say.

You lot might disagree - but we're a forum. Comments please.

 

More mods would be a good idea, and it would make the other 4 lives that are mods easier to help maintain the forum.

I agree...there are a few good guys helping out during the AM. Nihlistic Mystic comes to mind as well as SirCumAlot like mentioned above.

I think there should be more mods, though i do have a question when you go the the babes forum and all the way at the bottom where it says "moderators" there seems to be six Moderators:
sandino, ibthemoddog?, linusnc, p0rnstar?, wtfazzhole, TommyboyDaMan . now i know four of 'em but who are the other two?

 

as u can see 1 of them isnt a mod anymore and the other 1 doesnt seem to visit this forum anymore...so actually u know all the mods

 

o ok, that makes sense. btw isnt that mario scene from mario bros. 3 lol i used to play that game on the SNES and "super mario all-stars" (GREATEST GAME EVER!!)

some months ago i found "super mario all-stars" online and i started playing it again

 

lol yea thats the only game and system i have left (I like the old 2d graphix none of the new stuff appeals me ) and i play that game all the time. I still can't beat the mario bros. 2

 

imo mario bros.2 sucks...i hate the music, the levels and the fact that u have to root out plants
but therefor 1+3 are awesome

 

The mods don't need help. They have a system, it works.

 

I am almost new for this forum but it seems that mods are already doing a great job.

As pr0n_g00r00 stated, they must have a system and it works; so why to mess it up with new mods?

Mods are very important for a forum, but if you care about the quality of the forum... members are even more important !

Do we really wanna raise the quality of this forum? Do we really wanna help the mods?
Anyone of us can, and we don't need the power of deleting threads or banning members to do it well.

In fact my personal rules for any forum are:

1. Respect the forum rules
2. Be gentle with other members
3. Be patient with newbies and make them feel welcome
4. Don't pour gas on someone else's flames: try to moderate it yourself (use your sense of humour, if you have any)
5. Don't bother mods reporting violations when isn't really necessary
6. If the rules can be perfected, make a proposal directly to the mods

I think I see some hints on applying for a job. Anyway yeah this forum is getting bigger and we may need some more mods. But we need a few mods to monitor 1 forum only. Example we need 1 extra to monitor the vid becasue of all the reposts and people not reporting dead thread and pulling up expired links. Sircum would be perfect for it since he actually takes the effort to post all the dead threads to the report thread. Also one int the general since we have a few members who only reply there and maybe Cayne can make them a mod there. As for the babe and celeb sadino and linus are doing a fine job.

 

I agree. Everyone is doing a crack job on this forum. Sircum would have my vote for a mod in the vid forum since he is probably the most active guy in that forum. He is polite and helpful, so he gets my vote. Rest of the mods, thank you for your hard work.

 

Fair enough. I just wanted a mod's input on this, so thank you Tommy. It's annoying seeing so much spam floating around is all.

 

Thanks for what you do Tommy, I know that alot of the Vid Vault users will try to pitch in and steer these newer posters in the right direction.

 

i think the mods do a great job. i remember back when guest could post here and it was a pain in the ass with all the spam and flaming. one thing that would help some is after someone marks a post as spam don't keep posting after saying it's spam one time is enough. extra posting just keeps it up at the top of the board. just let it die the mods will get it. I'm not calling anyone out for doing it because i have done it as well. just my thoughts

 

Thanks for the kind words. Yeah, I usually get the best RS uploads and YSI downloads in the AM so that's why I usually lurk here during those hours. Besides, nothing beats good porn in the morning.

 

i'd like to nominate SirCumAlot for vid vault mod to help tommy weed out some of the unwanted things in there.
