  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    So i'm a long time celebrity poster and approx. made 1500+ threads on phun already.
    Now, in a million years i make one repost and i instantly receive a warning for this? The explanation is that one has to be reminded of the rules ... like i don't know that reposts are prohibited.

    The warning itself doesn't bother me a bit, it's just that the modding approach seems to be kind of weird and i wouldn't be surprised if it pisses people off from time to time.

    Not that big a deal after all, just wanted to get that out there. :2cent:

    We all repost from time to time, I'd gone ages without doing it then messed up yesterday. None of us are immune to it, but a quick remember doesn't harm, and it doesn't look good if we're effectively creating one set of standards for long time members and different standards for the new people.

    People respect you round here and your posts are appreciated, so no need to get wound up over it. And believe me, the mods here get pissed off at a lot of things that happen round here, and more so than the reasons people gripe at us.

    why the rules are not the same in picture and video section?
    why a post is deleted and the member receive a warning for a repost in pix section but in video section the post is merged for a repost of the exact same video?

    Well that's not true. I merge posts in the picture sections all the time if the pics are better quality. If someone's got a better quality pic or vid than what is already posted why stop them from posting it? We allow multiple links for the same video so people can choose the link that works best for them.

    Plenty of warnings and infractions for reposts are handed out daily here and most are probably in the video section.

    Because it wasn't relevant. We don't have to answer to questions asking who did what. Plus, the 'Ramon' comments aren't best to be used in topics that aren't joke ones.
