Mod Please Do This - For Hotfile And Sharingmatrix

Hotfile and Sharingmatrix flodding the board. Implement a new rule that.

Those uploader who post only hotfile and sharingmatrix link are allowed to create 5 megathread on this board and with 2 reply in his own thread in 24 hours. Megathread Not per day I want to say lifetime.

Please do this. By this way the board is not flodded by hotfile and sharingmatrix uploader.

about sharingmatrix, I never succeeded in downloading something there, because after the wait it asks for a code and there is no code visible, just some regenerate button.

 

^Might be a java thing on your end. Maybe.

 

That's what it sounds like to me too. I run No-Script and I have to do some tweaking sometimes or those codes aren't visible.

^ If you use Firefox (w/ NoScript and/or AdBlock Plus):

NoScript - you need to manually allow some URLs (look for the little "S" icon on the bottom right of FF). Click it - and you can allow necesary URLs

AdBlock Plus - I've never seen it cause problems like that, but you can disable it manually for a specific URL. Click the arrow next to the red "ABP" icon and fix it there.

Well, I tried all that, I even disabled the firefox plugins/restart application, it didn't make a difference. And I only have this problem with SharingMatrix, never had the problem with other hosts that use such 'I'm a human' code, like Hotfile, it shows a couple words, you have to type them in editbox, then it generates a long code, which has to be pasted in a second and bigger editbox. This is all no problem with the same firefox settings. Only with SharingMatrix . In the past, it was a problem that wasn't bothering much, since it was rarely used (at least on the forums I visit, dunno about others), but nowadays, it starts to be a pester. I can live with it, but it's a pity to have to miss that much.

 

I apologize if this is a stupid question but did you try downloading the file using Google Chrome or IE to troubleshoot your problem?

 

I tried everything and the problem persists in every browser. Just wait 10 minutes and then it says wait 10 minutes and 10 minutes 10 minutes and so on

try to download with jDownloader (www.jdownloader.org and it's free), I for instance don't use browser to download anything above certain size

 

never use sharing matrix never used HF either so maybe I should of not even posted LOL

 

I guess your best bet is to wait for the filesonic upgrade...

or maybe the upgrade is the reason for the problem?

 

No, not having to use IE is why I use Firefox. I apologize if this is a stupid answer. And my problem is not the wait period others mention here, but that I'm asked for a code that, whatever I try, I don't see. If this was a Firefox or Firefox plugin problem, then I wouldnt see the codes other filehosting sites show, but I do. It's just SharingMatrix, so they must use some method different from other hosting sites.

How does that code that Sharingmatrix asks after X sec look like? If you hover over it, does the browser show a link below? Or anything else that might help me to find out what's wrong here?
I assume this code is drawed on a picture (since it has to defeat programmed recognition) so there must be a picture to find.
In Firefox there is a Page Info that shows an organized resources list, if I click on the Media tab, and dwell through all the pictures, not any shows something that might be a code.

 

I've had this happen a few times before. Wonder if it's an accident or just a scam to make you wait longer and get frustrated so you pay them

Either case, I doubt the filesonic upgrade does any 'upgrade' at all, except for just hyping the file-host and hopefully increasing popularity.

Wonder if it's any good... I still stick to HF, I know spammers use it but I just really like their service for both uploading and free downloading (I always hated Rapid for free downloading, now I see uploaders have reason to hate them too). Haven't caught the SM wave yet.
