    Miley Cyrus and Lady GaGa go head to head with 4 nominations each
    in the MTV EMA lists announced today.
    With both Miley and Robin Thicke expected to attend, it is rumoured they could recreate
    - or even top - their momentous performance at the US version of the show,
    the MTV Video Music Awards, last month.
    That performance proved controversial when Miley 'Twerked' against the singer
    in a flesh-coloured latex bikini as they performed a version of his track 'Blurred Lines'.
    Elsewhere Justin Timberlake leads the nominations with 5 and is favourite
    to take the Best Male award

    The MTV EMAs 2013 will be broadcast live on November 10th

    Perry and Swift are the only ones I've heard songs by. KP's songs are actually more than tolerable as far as pop goes. I'll never buy or even download any of her music though. Ever.

    I'm not a big fan of contemporary country music either but I will admit that Swift is a pretty good songwriter despite the fact. But again, I have no interest in listening to her if I have a say so in the matter. If I want to hear songs of heartbreak, give me Patsy Kline any time.

    I have listened to a lot of music by many different artists
    Some of this list is good artists with the ability to make magic,, even if I don't like it.
    But a better part of half this list is people I doubt could open for Eric Clapton

    I know I know, we'll Clapton is amazing and has produced hits over decades and is arguably simply one of the best, I mean it would be huge and all.
    This is supposed to represent the list of the greatest at this moment to in time.

    And imo not one is near that level.
    But time may prove me wrong

    Swift is by far the most talented of the bunch-because she can write, and write well. it will be interesting to hear what she is saying in a couple years when her subject matter expands and she no longer has to play to her base. She'll still be here many years from now. the rest may not last a year.

    What's MISSING here is a guy who writes and is a MONSTER performer. Bruno Mars. How did they miss THAT?

    Agreed about the Video, I felt a stirring watching it. But the song is pretty dumb with that Tarzan sound she makes in the roar part of it. And I've actually liked quite a few of her songs.
