  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    Anybody got one of these?

Apparently, the super-shit download speeds suddenly get better than the RS premium account when you upgrade.

    It's $39.99 for a year, or $99.99 for life.

Anybody got one? What do you think?

And if people start getting accounts and like it, would it be worth having an MU thread in the Vault? I know Tommy hates MU, so this would keep them out of his way...

Looks cheaper than RS at the moment.I've always found MU a bit hit and miss (several downloads failed to start , some were incomplete ) and very slow but of course that's the free side.Having experienced the gulf between the free and Premium sides in RS I'm prepared to accept that the subscribed MU service will be a different animal.
I've only a 1Mb/s line so speed doesn't matter (RS is usually 140-150 Kb/s) but next year all NTL users will be 10Mb/s minimum so that might matter. But how many postings do you see in MU? RS is all over the place at the moment.

I see quite a lot in MU - nothing on here as the free service is shit, as you so rightly say.

Personally i don't get the fuzz about MU. They (MU that is) keep saying fast u/l and easy to use. Well the latter is correct. Altho i'm reffering to the free d/l section, a d/l is usually f*cking slow. I'm d/l an album of Metallica as we speak and it takes me over 3 hours with a d/l speed between 5 to 10 kb/sec. to get the little critters with a filesize close to 50 megs on my HD. And i got a fast connection. If you're online for a longer time than MU isn't too bad cause u can run the d/l in the background while surfing. The only pro for MU i can think of is that u can u/l much larger content than with RS, KMF or any of the other hosts. Hope this helped a bit!

I have only used the free download but i never get speeds as low as 5-10 kb, useually run around 25-30 which is all i can get on any of the free services because of my wireless connection
