    The difference is that Playboy became iconic and celebs were willing to do artistic nudes for Playboy just to add their names to the list of famous beauties who stripped for the mag.

    Onlyfans is a cash making business. Where celebs can capatilize on their fame to make money from horny dudes. While a viable alternative for many its not at the point A list celebs will partake. While the money is there the negative connotation of sexwork is aswell.

    I get the distinction but it's a distinction without a difference as far as horny phun users are concerned. When Playboy was the primary outlet for famous/semi-famous women to do nudity people would be like 'Oh they should do Playboy' (there was one user who would do this constantly) and now that OnlyFans seems to be the primary outlet for famous/semi-famous women to do nudity they're all like 'Oh they should do an OnlyFans'

    Although I take your point that at least Playboy had half a chance of happening.
