  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    Vdub / Nandub could do this. Which file compression/codec do you intend to work with? Doesn´t work with asf, mov, rm, wmv and some others. Use GSpot to determine file properties. Install some codec pack, then open the file, make selection and save as uncompressed avi. If you want to join clips, uncompress them first and then you´ll be able to append them. Finally recompress according to your wishes.. Use ImTOO Mpeg Encoder or Dr.DivX for instance..


    Nandub / Vdub - small, elaborated, powerful program for conversion and editing video files. Excellent if you want to cut some scenes out of the whole vid. Freeware.

    If you tick the "same quality" option in compression utility, your vid will be practically the same..

    I use "Easy Video Joiner". I've joined 30 clips into 1 large video and it only takes a minute or two. Usually works really good, but sometimes it doesn't work and won't join them.
