  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    This isn't the first day that I have had problems with IMAGEBAM...and it isn't just me.

    IMAGEBAM is named like an oxymoron because BAM implies QUICK and that is just not the case...My red x's take a LONG, LONG, LONG TIME to load....

    and the images? well they just don't load?

    I am getting more and more problems with imagevenue actually. the ads show up before every image.

    But that is the first time i have had a problem with Bam. its my favourite host.

    I probably have had problems with imagevenue as well and the ads always show first for all free hosts (pay the bills)

    but I am getting images not showing ever with imagebam. if they do load they take forever.

    what is this like 25% of the pix don't load?

    I did get about 10 to work after reloading 2 or more times but that list has been run through 2+times and still none come up...

    one even said admin doing something?
    I have seen about 5 thread in the last two weeks which imagebam didn't load all images and most were 5-10 pics not 50 like the link in this message.

    I went back and tried a 4th or 5th time now I have them all...

    It is almost at the stage I won't open the thumbs (even though I use it myself) It is locking up, pop-ups all over the place and about three clicks to get to the image.

    I was trying to open a photo hosted by Imagebam and my PC went into defend mode.

    Norton informed mr that this threat(bloodhound.exploit.193) was attempting to attack my pc.


    There is some weird crap going on with many hosting sites. I just don't understand it...

    OK, I have looed everywhere and can not find it. So all of you very experienced phun.org users have every right to rip me up one side or the other and then point it out...

    Where is the information that tells me what image hosting sites that we can and can not use? I know most use imagevenue but why can't I use something else?

    Hey, I got some great shots. If ya want to see them give me the scoop...

    the reason why we made a list of allowed hosts vs, not making a list of banned hosts where viruses and malware is rampant is because we did tried that once, but the list got so long and hard for people to constantly follow up on that we decided a short list of allowed imagehost only would be easier to remember.

    I have another question. Each of the imagehost sites that I have visited how's all these warnings about copyrights. I see many postings on Phun from Met-Art, MCN, Errotica-Archives, etc. and there does not seem to be any issues. I have images that I would like to post here from those sites too (downloaded legally). I just want to make sure I am following the correct steps? Anything that I need to worry about?

    the only thing to "worry about" is that these imagehosts might get requests by the site-owners to take down the pics - or we to take down the respective post.

    btw (to whom it may concern): imglinker.com is down - time (again...) to re-up the sig.

    if they are good for you then fine but make sure to stick to the mod approved list in phun or the mods will delete your posts.

    The only thing I've seen wrong with imagebam is that my thumbnails only halfway display sometimes. If I refresh the page, they usually fully display afterwards. This has only happened to me today, every other day, they display fully/work perfectly. I switched to imagebam because all the ad bullshit on imagevenue was pissing me off. ;)
