Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

I've noticed that a lot of people post insanely huge pics. What I find wrong with this is the fact that it makes you have to scroll right and you can't really get the full effect of the picture IMO. Another thing is the fact that the larger the fiule the longer it takes to load, and if you got a bunch of images, it takes forever.

I went to phpbbhacks.com and found these 2 hacks that might be of some use.

    http://www.phpbbhacks.com/download/3766
    http://www.phpbbhacks.com/download/3957

They basically resize the images into thumbnails that cayne can resize to fit into existing tables. Might also help in stretching the tables as well.

Honestly I could care less if I have to scroll right. If I really wanted to see a boob that bad, I'd go to my girlfriend.

It's the fact that I have to wait forever for posts to load when there is 20 pictures. My computer for some reason decides to want to freeze for 10 minutes while the damn images load. I know I'm not the only one with this problem. I can name a couple others as well.

well, unless the admin changes the rulez, here are some unsolicited tips ala Martha Stewart  if you already know them or have a better system than the crap im talking about, ignore this

    for faster loading:

    1. clean and delete unnecessary clutter from your comp everyday (i do mine TWICE a day!--tells you how much pr0n i surf)... use BeClean or some such utility, it can clean your comp in 15 seconds or less depending on the clutter.

    2. Always defrag after each cleaning...you can use the defrag utility built-in on your comp... (Defrag your hd with Defragmenter Pro Plus or some such utility at least once every 3 months)...reboot your comp after each defrag.

    3. download cablenut if you dont have one and configure your registry for optimum speed of your connection (im on dsl too)...there's also the TZ Connection Booster

    4. download some RAM-freeing utility--mine is FreeRAM XP Pro-- to manage your RAM usage

    5. reconfigure your pagefile (virtual memory)...dont ask me how or why--i dont know much about it--a geek friend reconfigured mine...its primarily the cause of a comp freezing

    6. run your ad or spyware utility everyday....worms and such are a burden to the comp...if you found some, remove them immediately... use mozilla FF, Opera, Linux and such when surfing for pr0n

i hope this is of help to you. BTW, all the utilities i mentioned above are free, except for the Defrag Pro Plus but which i dled from a warez site.

i use FireFox and have been trojan/virus/spyware free since its release... untill i let a friend use my comp and he surfed porn in IE, then i just reformatted because i didnt wanna go through all the shit.

but yeah, links to these places would be nice

In all honesty if you have to do that kind of tweaking to your rig, then it might be time to upgrade - I have done none of that stuff - no problems - but again I run a fx 64bit - with 2gb of corsair extreme ram.......
