  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    I have just scanned some pics from a mag onto the PC, file size is over 1 megabyte each, I had resolution (DPI) at 100, any way of getting it lower or is there something I should do in photoshop to make the file size smaller?

    im not sure if this will work and youve probably already tried this, but cant you save as a jpeg. like a copy of the same pic, just file->save as->file type jpeg?

    EDIT, I just tried it with a 1meg pic in paint and saved it as a jpeg=29kb so i think it works, hooray for me im not stupid :D. pic looks pretty much identical btw

    Tried it and it reduced from 1.5 to 694 kb's, so getting there! Cheers dude, I'll try make further inroads.

    Just tried again, *slaps head*...apologies for wasting your good time, now I can start scanning some of these Oz editions of FHM and Ralph to provide scans for you good people. Thanks for the help!
