  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

I don't know if maybe it's the videos I am hosting, but I see alot of vids getting pushed down by RS and other stuff. At least for me it's frustrating to try and keep a vid up where people can see it, cause generally I doubt people go back very far to see old threads. Not always the case, generally newer members do this.

I know other members have mentioned the fact that larger, and quality vids, get lost rather quickly, by many RS threads. So my idea/suggestion. Is there a way to divy up the vid forum into sections? Say having an RS thread area, and a YSI thread area and so on. To have them posted on different pages might aleviate this surplus of vids. I am not dissing RS at all, some good stuff is posted there. But everyone knows what a pain YSI can be, and to see hard work just down the drain. Well thats what I think? Some feedback would be appreciated from the mods or anyone else to see what we can do.

  2. They server gets overloaded as is so no need for another forum, unless people want to donate money and help Cayne with the forum it is a negative, this idea has been posted 10 times already.

I always thought the RS/GS vids get bumped to bottom, since people just need to click the link, and not reply............

...but i guess youre onto something there, lad

I didn't necessarily mean adding a forum, but is there a possiblity of having sub folders w/in the vid forum? I really don't know much about hosting a forum. But w/in the vid forum, designate an area for RS and another for YSI. I don't think it would cause an overload, since it is generally the same thread starters, however they could start a thread in a designated folder. If I am calculating this correctly, the same number of threads would be hosted, just filtered so to speak.

  5. You would still need to add more features causing more server load. Bad enough when we get 2000+ members and sql requests the site lags.

Alright thanks tommy i appreciate your feedback, i guess i'll stick to bumping my threads.

  7. Only other thing I can think of is the ones who posts alot of vids every week combine all ther posts and make 1 sticky each week and the members who want it reply by saying I want this vid by posting the members name. I think if you post 3 pics and a brief description I can fit about 7 - 10 vids or more.

What I did, was make a link of my contributions. Each time I checked the site I would usually get through the first 2 pages (usually new stuff/replies) and check if I have any requests that needs to be taken care of. After a few days, I would bump my posts that got overlooked. Also I would mention in my new posts about some still outstanding old posts that needed more attention.

  9. Have you guys also heard of a thing called a subscription? You can subcribe to your own thread so you don't have to search all over the forum.
