GIF Hosts That Need Approval

As many of you know I'm always looking for new hosts for my GIFS. Of the current approved Phun hosts none (other than keepmyfile) can properly host my GIFS. Let's take a closer look.

- Imagebeaver (Hotlinking is temporarily disabled. Max file size of 2.5MB is no good for me)

- Pictiger (File size of 1MB. Is this a joke)

- Imageshadow (Closed)

- Rehostit (Has the file size I'm looking for but I always get errors whenever I try to upload something)

- Imagebam (no good for GIF sigs. File size not large enough for my GIFS)

- Freeimagehost (Same problem as Imagebam)

- Imagehaven (Good Pic host but no good for GIFS)

- Keepmyfile (The only worthy GIF host on the list, however
the future is looking dim)

- Imagevenue (strictly a pic host; no GIFS)


Now let's look at the hosts I recommend.
- Photogiga (Excellent GIF host. File size at 100.00MB. It's my alternate to Keepmyfile. I have the gigaPower package so I get 999.00GB of storage space and 999.00GB of traffic bandwidth a month.

- Dreamuploader (Good host for GIF sigs. File size at 10MB)

- Imagevimage (Another good host for GIF sigs. File size at 2MB)

- Qzoka (Solid GIF and sig host. File size at 10MB)

- Postimage ( Yet another solid sig host. File size at 4MB)

- Imagepile (Solid GIF host. Fize size at 5MB for Registered users)

 

I was just taking for a test drive that Photogiga (Free user, of course) The dreamuploader looks good.

 

if it is used for your sig area go ahead.

 

directupload net 4mb (1 year) or 8mb for member (2 year)

 

I've always wondered what hosts were good for animated pics too. Thanks for listing some good choices

Dreamuploader looks to be a solid host.

 

Like i said, if you use it for your sig and it is hotlinked then i don't see why not. Hotlinked images don't require you to click on anything so therefore you can't be sent to a site with malice intent. If you use it and the host boots your sig or blocks the site big deal, it was not meant to be for phun's use anyways. Besides there is no difference between having a host that deletes your sig vs. one that replaces it with a giant bandwidth exceeded limit image like imagesocket.

 

So Dreamuploader is approved for sigs ???

nice, thanks. pretty easy to use and working well, as long as their servers are not on "maintenance", but that´s something every host has to deal with.

just a thought, due to recent experiences: maybe we should try not to overplay hotlinking too much. be nice to imagehosts and don´t over-stress them with hotlinking gigapixel-pics and almost-movies too often...

since it´s about gifs and pics - depends.
pics: half screen-size (600x400px, also helps to preserve phun´s general appearance in terms of frame) - some bigger "celebration"-pics don´t do any harm...
example:

sigs: ~1MB
animated gifs: as big as they are actually (maybe check masterminds opinion and experience about hosts)

 

am I allowed to use widster.com?
