  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    I am a newbie here, and must admit I started out as a lurker. However, I made several video posts the last couple days in the hopes of asking for a couple links. My first one I got a little feedback on how to post thumbnails for the video, but other than that, no responses. My next few got deleted, as I wasn't aware of the "short video" thread. No notice to me, but ok, whatever. So I then posted several videos on the short video thread. No responses or thanks. I then ask for one video link and was ignored. Am I doing something wrong here? Just how many videos must one post to be considered "worthy" around here?

    You arent gonna get too many videos by contributing short videos. How ever many megabytes you are requesting is exactly how many megabytes you are expected to have already contributed in order to recieve that video.

    welcome to phun. being a worthy or contributing member is a big issue here because it's almost always different for every poster. But as fowl said, it generally goes by how much you give is how much you recieve.

    So if you ask for one YSI link, you should be expected to have posted a YSI worthy video.

    Also, some members don't bother finding what you've posted because you have such a low post count. So to get around that, tell what you've contributed in your sig and provide links.
