I have gotten about 7 pms about firefox problem. When you go to download something the download manager pops up and freezes all of the pages. I dunno what to do. Does anyone have any suggestions for these people:)

  2. I don't know about freezing up but on ysi links I get through 21 megs of a 100 meg video than I get a message that the download was complete. But never had that happen to me.

they say the pages all freeze and then not respond you have to end them and start all over. I looked though firefox pages and haven't found anything

  4. It's probably a corrupt download manager, I dl vids all day and I am using firefox to do it. I have never had a freeze up find out if they are using ysiget I here it's corrupted from some other people.

everytime one downloads the latest version of FF (like the version 1.0.3) the user should UNINSTALL the older version BEFORE installing the new one. The FF 1.0.3 came in by way of an automatic update, so most users assume that they just have to install it.

Most of the guys (like Tommyboy) do not have that problem because I know that they just began using FF a few weeks back and installed the latest version (FF 1.0.3). But for those who have updated from FF 1.0 (or lower) to 1.0.3, the user should UNINSTALL the older version BEFORE installing the new one.

yes, there were occasional updates and patches in the past that does not affect the FF 1.0. However, FF 1.0.3 is a completely new build.

Got it: Go to: Word pad and go open and make sure all files are available. Type this in if this is the way to your firefox

    C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\rwdqxhxs.default

open up downloads.rdf Select all and delete everything. Save it then restart computer. And then open firefox go to tools, options, privacy, Download manager history, and set it to Remove files from download manager after succesfull download. And you won't have the problem again.

It happened because your download manager got so damn full LOL
    Hope that helps

Muck around with the Firefox settings, the worst you can do is fuck it up and then reinstall it. :)

I've been using Firefox since version .9 and I was experiencing slowdowns while downloading, too.
    Go to Tools, Options, Privacy.
Click on the plus sign next to Download Manager History. Click the Clear button to empty the history, then click the down arrow and select "Upon successful download" after "Remove files from the Download Manager:"
    Click OK.

I have been using the extension, Down Them All, as an alternative to the
default download manager and have tried some of the other extensions too. I like it better than the other extensions.
Click on Tools, Extensions, then click on the link at the bottom to "Get more Extensions". You will be directed to the Mozilla Update page.
On the left side, click "Download Tools". Find "Down Them All," and click on Install.
You'll have to exit Firefox and restart it for it to take effect.
