Strange but I find I appreciate her beauty more now that I know what her tits look like.

These reactions justify what she did, I think. We're finally not thinking of her as a kid anymore, which I suppose was the whole point.

 

She's 32.... Who thinks of a 32 year old as a kid?

 

The perils of being a former child star, I imagine.

 

Well, we do talk about "in the head" vs. "in the gut". Or, if you like, intellectual vs. emotional. You're talking about what people think. Of course we're all savvy enough to know & to think she's all grown up, & been so for quite some time. That said, shortly before the topless beach, Ms. Watson felt the need to express that she doesn't want to disavow the memory treasured by millions of fans of her as Hermione. Her unstated but implied "but" was that she's an actress, not actually that character, it's been rather a long time since then, & maybe it's about time the public could start to tune in to who she is now, & who she can be, & maybe become just a little less emotionally locked into who she once was.

Not that I know her at all or can read minds or anything. This is simply a view that puts together & seems to make sense of: 1) that many people are still flabbergasted that she showed off her tits; & 2) that maybe that was actually her intention. To get people to snap out of their dream version of her.

 

Interesting.

I have never seen the HP stuff and just see her as an utterly gorgeous woman wanting to go on holiday and get a good old tan in the process. And i hope she does more.

 

Her best role was in the Circle.

And in HP movies, she was at her peak in the 7.1. The danse scene is very good. Good acting.

 

Casting directors. Audiences. See, a lot of child stars (I'd say most, actually) have trouble establishing themselves when they try to pursue an acting career as adults because most people just see them as 'that kid from [x]'. So the ones that try to make a go of it and don't either go into something else or fall into depression and drug addiction try to break out of the mould by doing more 'adult' roles, usually with a lot of nudity. Like Jodie Foster doing The Accused or Alyssa Milano doing Embrace of the Vampire. This helps them shed their child-like image.

 

It is settled then. Emma Watson needs to do Embrace of the Vampire.
