Dvd shrink is good, but a lot of them are copy protected and dvdshrink wont be able to copy them. Go to http://www.mrbass.org/dvdrip/ and download dvd decrypter. It is shareware and it can tackle any dvd you throw at it!

if dvd shrink can't unlock it, use DVD decrypter. It's another free program, just google it and you should be able to find it. When I copy DVD's I use DVD decrypter to get the video files then I shrink them with DVD shrink, followed by a burn with nero. As for getting to your HD in a playable format, I can't help ya there, but I remember this being answered somewhere. Don't give up sailor!

wow, too much trouble. i just use the most up to date version of dvd shrink, i burned over 500 of my own dvd copy protected movies, only needed to use dvd decrypter once.
