The incredible tale about the fantastical evolution of Bella Baxter, a young woman brought back to life by the brilliant and unorthodox scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter.

Features the sexual curiosity and awakening of a woman. Some female nudity, mostly non-genital nudity, just breasts and buttocks. There is a scene during a burlesque/strip show featuring several women fully nude in an artistic and beautiful way, and this is in line with the story and the main character's exploration of being human.

Rated R for strong and pervasive sexual content, graphic nudity, disturbing material, gore, and language

Anyone know if it's Emma Stone nudity?

I had posted cam quality clips a maybe month or so ago. Cant seem to find the thread at all now. Not even in the trash. Very odd. Maybe it was hard deleted by an admin due to dmca complaint? Anyway, yes, the part you bolded does indeed involve Emma Stone.

Thanks! For some reason, I thought I had created a thread rather than adding to an existing one. That's why I wasn't finding it.

I'm just hoping they don't edit out some of those scenes before the actual movie premier. If they do, I will be eternally grateful to whoever leaked those clips.

Sometimes between a film showing at a film festival and the film finding a distributor so it can go to theatres/streaming/home media/whatever, a lot of stuff gets cut out. Good stuff too, they'll cut sex and nudity usually

that is true but we always hope for the unrated / directors cut /special edition that might come out on blu ray

Yeah but that's usually only a possibility if the film does particularly well, which is unlikely with indie films. With indie films people either love them or ignore them.

We still haven't, more than fifteen years later, gotten an uncut Crossing Over with additional Alice Eve boobies and, given the film did so poorly, I doubt we ever will, either

Very true. Another example was the 15 minute unsimulated oral scene with Ophelie Bau in "Mektoub my love Intermezzo" from the same dude who made Blue Is The Warmest color. That entire movie hasn't seen the light of day and was part of a Trilogy. Thing is over 3 hours long and outside of getting screened at a few festivals over 5 years ago never has been seen.

The one that shocks me that never leaked out was Natalie Portman in "Closer". There was a scene with actual nudity that was recorded but never made it in and they rewrote and refilmed it. I know Mike Nichols said he "burned" the footage. But this was a Sony/ Columbia film in 2003/2004. Even recorded on film, the dailies, outtakes, run-throughs would have all been recorded and digitized and would have had to have been saved. This wasn't some student film. All that stuff, even down to things like table reads need to be recorded and preserved for X amount of time incase there is an insurance claim, or in the case of discovery if there is a lawsuit.

Even if it was filmed on a closed set with just the actors, director and cinematographer there still a TON of people who would have had access and the fact they locked it down is kinda shocking

Granted it's more of a global community now days with fast internet, but originally it took years for an uncut version of All About Anna to the US. Then it took a few more years after that before "producers cut" scenes with the uncut outtakes and different camera angles that didn't make it into the movie that were way more explicit leaked online. It was about 12 or 13 years before everything made it out

Also, sadly I think things like blu ray is going to die. Best Buy already stopped selling dvds since physical media is dying. Sales down another 28% this year.

That's not to say digital media sales won't have an R cut and an "unrated directors cut". Although even those leave a lot out.

However the issue there is stuff like this

    https://www.wired.com/story/porn-age-checks-id-laws/

More and more states are voting in "protect the children laws". Companies aren't going to be able to skirt the laws by just saying they are unrated forever. The stricter they get, streaming services will avoid them altogether, and digital sales places like Amazon aren't going to want to deal with the hassle, legality, and potential fines for violations on such a niche market

Physical media is never going to die. I mean, they still sell vinyls for God's sake.

People have been prognosticating the doom of physical media forever but the fact is that studios, especially in light of covid and the strikes, have realised that licensing titles out to boutique labels is a quick and easy way to make some extra money, and the end consumer have come to realise that physical media enables them control over the product that you don't get with streaming and digital which, even if you pay for it, are just a bunch of glorified rentals. Then there's the enthusiasts, who prefer physical media for the quality and variety of titles offered.

It's true that disc based media is never going to be what it was at its height. But what we'll most likely see is a transition from major studio releases to more-and-more titles being licensed out by boutique labels. This will, at best, not affect indie films which are usually distributed on disc by boutique labels anyway.
And this is a complete non-sequitur as far as unrated indie films go. The reason they push these age verification laws is as a predicate to end your online anonymity. They don't need to fuck with your anonymity when it comes to Amazon or Netflix because you're not anonymous when you sign up for those. You have to give your address and credit card information just to create an account.

Simple fact is the only thing preventing a lot of these films from getting uncut director editions with all the nudity in tact is lack of interest. Who in their right mind, other than us pervs, is going to buy an unrated director's cut of, say, Crossing Over, when that film totally failed in America, went direct-to-video elsewhere and is genuinely only remembered for having Alice Eve's tits?

Idk, they keep making movies and TV shows with more and more explicit nudity. Must be a market for it.

Of course there's a market for it. Sex sells. But the thing is that most of these films are not 'sex' films. They're regular films with some pretty hot sex scenes/nude scenes in them.

No one, other than us pervs, is going to buy an even longer version of a film that failed, just to see more sex and nudity. Now, there are a lot of us pervs, but I don't think distributors would bank on that, especially since all the good scenes end up online anyway
