  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

I've used Nero Reloaded to convert DVD to MP4.
I had a few replies asking about the codecs required, now even I can't play my own files and get a message that I need to spend $50 to get a new serial number.

    Are the codecs available anywhere?

Hmm, off the top of my head, I know you can find them over at http://www.cole2k.net/. I believe the Standard Pack has the neccessary ones.

Best I could turn up. Hope that's of some help.

I havent tried any MPEG4 videos yet, but if ever i have a clip i can't play, i use a tool called AVIcdec. Its free easy to use. You just open it up and drag and drop the video into it. It will then give you all the details for the clip. If you dont have the correct codec installed, theres a web button to click on, and it will search the web for the codec thats needed.

    http://www.free-codecs.com/download/AVI_Codec_Pack.htm

    i hope this helps,
    regards
    CP.
