For some reason i cant DL from RS anymore outside of happy hours. The wierd thing about it is that I was able to DL all the time before and i havent changed network settings or switched connections/ modems or anything. Ive been running on a router the whole time and up until 3 or 4 days ago i wasnt able to dl anymore. Anyone know why?

Rapidshare's premium service will prevent that problem. I bought the cheapest one a few months ago, the 10 Euros = about 12.00 US. It allows up to 10 gigabytes of free downloads. The two good features I enjoy are not having to wait the hour between downloads and that you can use a few download programs. I switch back and forth between Leechget and Free Download Manager. As far as the 10 gig download for 10 Euros goes, the 1st purchase lasted about 2 to 3 months so when it ran out, I bought another 10 Euros worth. At the bottom of the download screen it will show you how many megabytes you have left in your account.
If you are uploading files there is an option to give Rapidshare $$$ to your premium account too. I think it's worth a few bucks for the features offered.

    It happened to me once.

The reason was not that I was downloading too much at the time, but the proxy automatically used to get to rapidshare might have set off their "too much requests" alarm.

For me, it came back after a few days.

This may or may not be helpful, but I use GetRight download manager to d/l RS links. I just set it up so it will only download, one file at a time, sometimes two and que up the rest. Works great for me and never been "banned". However, you do not want to save links in the que for more than a day or two or sometimes the links go bad and you have to set it up again. Works good for MU too, at least the links that actually get more than 10k/sec d/l speeds

    Yep... http://www.getright.com/ :)
You shouldn't need to buy it, after awhile, a popup will appear telling you how many downloads you have used with GetRight but just wait a few seconds and click ok. I'm sure there is crack or pw for it somewhere out there

  9. I dl off rapidshare, but after the 4th dl of the day, I get hit with "our server indicates you have downloaded too much today". So I wait till 6pm pst and go to town, again I will not pay for any porn. Paying for internet access is sufficient and porn is and should be free or anything else for that matter.

Amen, you should write a book. I'd buy it and I'd attend the book signing.

Hey my friend, its not just rapid share, its all of them. Q-file is just as bad, don't use it for days after having no problems and BAM the next time you try to download you get all the way in to the file and then get the big X screen. With Rapid Share, so days I can download all day long with out getting kicked and then other days bring down one little file and I'm kicked off for 2 days. Gigashare which used to be so user friendly in the past two days had turned downright mean. Megaupload, well they just shoot themselves in the foot without any help from the rest of us.
