Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    Attachments aren't allowed.

You'll have to host your pic(s) and use the IMG tags.

    Code:
    [img]link[/img]

I followed the road to ImageVenue to try and submit a few pics to the celebrity x-ray thread. However, when I opened my folder of pics, some are jpegs and some are btmps. The ImageVenue box only showed the jpegs. The pics I want to attach are btmps. The drop down menu only says "images". How do I view the btmps that I want to attach to a posting? Thanks for the help!

IV only allows .jpeg or .jpg you'll have to try one of the other image hosts.

LOL that doesn't make convert the file. At least do it the proper way and, for example, use irfan view to convert the pictures.

Thanks for the help, but do you have a link for the other image hosts? Secondly, how do you change from a bmp to a jpeg?

I don't think the others allow them either gb. Methinks you'll have to convert them. ;)

I tried to post 2 separate posts to the Celebrity X-Ray discussion this afternoon (et) but I haven't seen them yet. How long does it take the Mods to approve a post?

    Thanks for the help.

Both approved. It takes however long it takes. Individual posts aren't as noticeable as threads, sometimes they take longer for them to get approved.

Which program will allow me to add bmp to my posting? All of the above sites seem to limit to jpegs or gifs. Thanks for the help.

I'm not sure if you can. Probably best to save the bitmap as a jpeg and post it.

How do you save a bmp as a jpeg? I get conflicting answers. My system has saved hundreds of pics as bmps. Thanks

you shouldn't need to attach images to your actual post, just upload them to an allowed host such as imagebam or imagehost and link to them

edit: sorry, just re-read the question, see what you mean, never noticed hosts didn't allow bmps. probably cos the filesizes tend to be much bigger than jpegs or pngs. weird. as for converting all your bmps to jpg, photoshop can do it as a batch process but it's a bitch to set up. i'd imagine you could find a free program to do it somewhere online.

If it's an individual pic, open it in paint and go 'file, save as' then save it as a jpeg by using the drop down list. If it's for batch, then no idea, hopefuly you can find a program like Lukin suggested.
