  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

In new updated versions of Bulk Image Downloader v1.27 or v1.28 , there is no clear cache option so what to do ?

Also from last 2 days, Bulk Image Downloader is making errors in downloading pics. Instead of downloading the full image some images are half downloaded & rest part is greyed & saved as .png file though it shows no error & says download successful.

Is it related to cache or something else ?

Also I noticed a thumb pic of an image floating in my C drive > Document & Settings > HomePC(my account name) folder  which I put for download in Bulk Image D earlier. It was named something like ~temp & all.

What could be wrong  ?

no idea, honestly. at least i´m not going to consider to download and install the updates but stick with the "old" but working version.
maybe just try to "downgrade" again.

Ok, I downgraded & upgraded again to ver.1.27 [not 1.28] & it's working fine for now.

But what you all do to download pics hosted on imagehosters which are not supported by v.1.16 [for eg: imagebam] ? but newer versions support it & many more imagehosts.

If there are more supplementary imagedownloaders you use which support many more imagehosts than v1.16 of Bulk Image Downloader, suggest me some please.

I upgraded now to v1.28 works perfect for me,maybe thats your problem:

    TCP/IP Window Scaling Issues:
An incompatibility exists between Vista's TCP/IP Window Scaling feature and some network hardware (such as certain types of router). This may cause BID and other programs that access the internet to "freeze" or "hang up" when they try to download from the internet. You may also experience slow browsing, broken downloads and other odd problems when accessing the internet. If you find that the BID window does not appear when you start it but bid.exe appears in your task manager list then you may have this problem. To solve it TCP/IP Window Scaling must be disabled.

To disable Vista TCP/IP Window Scaling do the following:
    1. Log into Windows Vista as an administrator user
    2. Start Command Prompt (located in Start - All Programs - Accessories)
    3. Type in the following command and press enter:
netsh interface tcp set global autotuninglevel=disabled
    4. Restart your PC
