  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

AVI Question

    I'm sorry if this does not belong here. For some reason my computer has problems with AVI's. Sometimes she'll play them and sometimes the picture freezes right at the start and you could here the sound advancing but the picture never continues, it just stays frozen in that one spot ( sometimes it will play the first third and freeze from there on) I can close media player and re-open the file, but it doesn't matter, same thing. Anyone know the answer. Thanks in advance.


    it just sucks when you see a good vid out there and if it's an AVI you wonder if it will play after you've spent the time down loading it.

    You could try installing something like the klite codec pack maybe, there is a link in the rules and faq.

    sure enough i just downloaded the katja_kassin 176 MB AVI and right as it starts getting good; it freezes. i will look for that codec download in the rules and faq. thanks

    2 things. Whan installing a new codec you MUST uninstall all the old ones first! Or the new codec will not install properly.
    2) If your graphics card is 32bit and lower it cannot support alot of the newer videos cause they require alot more video memory. 64bit minimum.
