  2. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

hey guys...apparently the thumbs of imagevenue don't work (try clicking those thumbnails)...i think its a hosting problem and not your PC....so please refrain from using imagevenue for the meantime...go and find another image host... thanks

yes only firefox users :( I will still post using imagevenue. If you are using firefox and want to see the pics right click on them and open them in IE. Thanks. Also I emailed them and they said that they are working on it.

There are definitely some changes going on at ImageVenue. My script that I use to download pics from there stopped working because it wasn't sending referrer information. They seem to be requiring visitors to send a valid referrer URL now in order to download the full-size pics, which isn't too smart IMO, since many programs now offer the option to disable or block the sending of referrer info. In fact, some people have it disabled and aren't even aware of it.

    I use firefox...

    I use imagevenue...

    I have no problems...

m3 b3 l33t HaXoR...no, I simply did the firefox update that came up and it resolved itself. Actually, I really only had issues seeing the thumbnails as I was uploading...once I posted them here at phun it showed and worked fine.

Some people's firefox configuration needs to be changed because Imagevenue changed something in their script :)

To enable the referrer being sent in firefox complete the following steps:

    1. Type "about:config" into the URL address bar at the top of the page and press enter

    2. Scroll down the page until you reach network.http.sendRefererHeader

    3. Double click on this entry and enter 2 into the input box to enable the referrer being sent, or 0 to disable it.

    And you're done! :)

It seems in addition that imagevenue has problems on systems where it is not possible to set a cookie.

Therefore if any firewall software you may be using has been set up to completely disallow cookies and/or popups then it may cause difficulties. If you are finding you cannot view imagevenue pictures in firefox then try lowering the cookie/popup restrictions of firewall software such as Zone Alarm etc.

I don't know where this setting is to be found in most firewall software, but for Zone Alarm go to the Privacy tab, and set the cookie and ad blocking settings to medium or off and see if it helps.
